This platform is designed for contactless conductivity detection on a microfluidic chip (lab-on-a-chip). It must be connected to a C4D unit.
The platform has a pair of flat electrodes which act as the transmitter and receiver for the AC waveform signal provided by the C4D unit. The microfluidic channel is positioned so as to pass across the pair of electrodes. The base of the microfluidic chip should be less than 200 µm thick, so that the electrodes are as close to the sample channel as possible.
